Japan to increase humanitarian aid to Ukraine up to $300,000

TOKYO, September 05. /ITAR-TASS/. Japan has decided to increase humanitarian aid to Ukraine from $270,000 to $300,000, the Japanese Foreign Ministry announced on Friday.

The funds will be provided through the channels of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. The Japanese Ministry expressed hope that this step would help forward the process of settling the situation in Ukraine.

In June, Japan had announced it provided humanitarian aid to Ukraine worth $270,000.
