Donetsk People’s Republic to prevent building of wall on border with Russia
On Wednesday, Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yatsenyuk said Ukraine was going to begin the construction of an actual border with Russia
DONETSK, September 04. /ITAR-TASS/. The government of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) will prevent the implementation of the “Wall” project on its territory that was announced by Ukraine’s Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk on Wednesday, DPR vice premier Andrei Purgin said on Thursday.
“No way we’ll have any wall. The statement on its building is very strange. It looks like Ukrainian politicians are competing in creativity,” Purgin told reporters, referring to Yatsenyuk’s statement on the construction of “an actual state border with Russia.”
According to the DPR vice premier, it is unclear how Ukrainian troops intended to penetrate into the militia-controlled territory. In view of the counteroffensive this looks like “an absurd utopia,” he said.
On Wednesday, Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yatsenyuk said Ukraine was going to begin the construction of an actual border with Russia. “We are beginning the ‘Wall’ project. This is the construction of an actual state border between Ukraine and the Russian Federation,” Yatsenyuk said.
