EU suggests significantly broadening sanctions against Russia — media

MOSCOW, September 2. /ITAR-TASS/. The European Commission proposed the EU to significantly broaden the list of sanctions against Russia by restricting exports of dual-purpose goods and additionally restricting the access for Russian companies to the market of foreign capital, Reuters news agency reports.

In addition, several states suggested including Russia’s Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu into the list of individuals banned from entering the European Union. Furthermore, the European Commission suggested to restrict Russia’s participation in sports and culture events.
