Press secretary of the Polish Armed Forces operational command says the reason for the denial was that the Russian authorities had requested the passage for a civilian jet

WARSAW, August 29. /ITAR-TASS/. Poland has denied entry to its airspace for a Russian jet, which was carrying Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu as he was returning home after a trip to Slovakia, the press secretary of the Polish Armed Forces operational command said.

He claimed reason for the denial was that the Russian authorities had requested the passage for a civilian jet, not the military one.

The press secretary indicated that transits of military jets should be coordinated 72 hours before their effectuation.

Shoigu attended a ceremony to commemorate the 70th anniversary of an uprising against the Nazis in the Slovak city of Banska Bystrica.
