MOSCOW, August 27. /ITAR-TASS/. Militias are planning to send the next bulk of Russian humanitarian cargoes to Donetsk, eastern Ukraine, the head of Novorossiya’s social and economic headquarters, Denis Pushilin said on Wednesday.

“All humanitarian aid, which arrived together with the Russian convoy, has been sent to Luhansk. The situation in the city is very difficult. There are no water, communication and foodstuffs. The second humanitarian convoy is planning to be sent to Donetsk,” he said.

At present, the state commission is setting up a system for distributing humanitarian aid. The first humanitarian convoy was delivered to those badly in need, Pushilin said.

On Monday, August 25, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Moscow had sent a note to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry about its plans to deliver a new humanitarian convoy. “We have sent a note to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry about our plans to prepare the next humanitarian aid convoy.” The same note was sent to the International Committee of the Red Cross, he said.

The first Russian humanitarian convoy with about 2,000 tonnes of foodstuffs, water, baby food and medical equipment to war-torn eastern Ukraine crossed the Ukrainian border on August 22. On Saturday, August 23, Russian trucks returned to Russia.
