In total, Poland plans to provide Ukrainian troops with 320 tonnes of food supplies, blankets, mattresses and bedding

WARSAW, August 27./ITAR-TASS/. Poland has sent its first shipment of relief aid to Ukraine’s military, a defence ministry spokesman said on Wednesday.

“The first cargo already left on Monday,” spokesman Jacek Sonta said. “This is not an organised column but only 4-5 trucks. We hope that the relief aid will arrive in Ukraine by Sunday.”

In total, Poland plans to provide Ukrainian troops with 320 tonnes of food supplies, blankets, mattresses and bedding, Sonta said.

“These things will be delivered to a base in the city of Lviv,” he added. “The vehicles will be unloaded there and will return to Poland. The Ukrainian side will undertake further aid distribution”.
