The number of fatalities from the armed standoff in the east of Ukraine, according to UN statistics, has reached 2,249, the Russian Foreign Ministry has said with reference to the latest statistics released by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). “Another 6,033 have been injured.”

The number of casualties from the armed confrontation in the east of Ukraine is growing steadily, the OCHA said.
