Kazakhstani president arrives in Minsk on official visit

On Monday, August 25, Nazarbayev discussed issues of the upcoming meeting in a telephone talk with Alexander Lukashenko

MINSK, August 26. /ITAR-TASS/. Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev arrived on an official visit to Belarus on Tuesday.

“During the visit, the Kazakhstani president is planning to meet with his Russian, Belarusian and Ukrainian counterparts, as well as with the EU foreign policy chief, over the Ukraine crisis settlement,” the Kazakhstani presidential press service said.

On Monday, August 25, Nazarbayev discussed issues of the upcoming meeting in a telephone talk with Alexander Lukashenko.

The Kremlin press service reported earlier that presidents Vladimir Putin of Russia, Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus and Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan, the three countries making up the Eurasian Customs Union, would meet with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Minsk on Tuesday.

European Commission officials are also expected to attend the meeting.
