Ukraine president expects ‘intensive dialogue’ in Minsk

“The Ukrainian people and me stand firm on the fact that Ukraine's peace plan must be put into action,” Poroshenko says

KIEV, August 22./ITAR-TASS/. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said on Friday he expected an intensive dialogue at a meeting with the leaders of the European Union, Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus in Minsk on August 26.

“Intensity of the dialogue will be very high," the president said when meeting Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius, adding that the major issue on the agenda would be peace.

“The Ukrainian people and me stand firm on the fact that Ukraine's peace plan must be put into action,” Poroshenko said.

Foreign Minister Linkevicius said that Lithuania would continue to provide “political and moral” support to Ukraine.
