Russian relief aid convoy to cross Russian-Ukrainian border soon

DONETSK, August 21. /ITAR-TASS/. Trucks carrying Russian humanitarian aid to the population of war-torn eastern Ukraine might enter Ukrainian territory at 06:00 hours Moscow Standard Time on Friday at the earliest ITAR-TASS said in a dispatch from the spot.
At the time of reporting, the first five trucks were awaiting permission to enter Ukraine in the neutral zone of the Donetsk border checkpoint.
Earlier on Thursday, the International Red Cross coordinator for Europe and Central Asia, Loran Korba, said in Moscow that the International Committee of the Red Cross had taken all the essential administrative and preparatory measures to ensure the passage of the 270-trucks-strong convoy across the border.
He expressed the hope all the trucks would be able to cross into Ukraine Friday morning.
Korba admitted that the humanitarian situation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine was very harsh.
