No US, EU import restrictions planned in Armenia as it joins Eurasian Economic Union

YEREVAN, August 15. /ITAR-TASS/. Armenia will not limit agricultural and food import from the US and EU once in the Eurasian Economic Union, the First Deputy Economics Minister Garegin Melkonyan said on Friday.

“Russian restrictions can only be applied in Russia,” he told Mediamax news agency. “According to the provisions of the Agreement on Eurasian Economic Union, the parties have the right to unilaterally apply certain protective and restrictive measures.
