VIENNA, August 14. /ITAR-TASS/. The Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe's observer mission in Ukraine now comprises more than 370 people, officials in the Swiss delegation which currently chairs the OSCE said on Thursday.

Swiss diplomats said OSCE member-states had already provided 17.4 million euros to fund the observers' work in Ukraine.

The mission currently has 259 OSCE employees and 112 local personnel, while the mission on the Russian-Ukrainian border comprises 19 people.

The situation in Ukraine was the only issue on the agenda of the Thursday session of the OSCE Permanent Council convened at Switzerland's proposal.

Before the summer break which begins in the second half of August, OSCE diplomats extended the mandate of the special observer mission in Ukraine to March 2015.
