No notification Ukraine border checkpoint closed for Russian humanitarian convoy
Eyewitnesses said passing the checkpoint was unhampered now
BELGOROD, August 13. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine has not officially informed the Russian customs of closing the checkpoint Shebekino-Pletenevka for Russian humanitarian convoy, press officer of central customs administration said on Wednesday.
The Russian Foreign Minister said on Tuesday trucks with humanitarian aid for Ukraine’s southeast would pass through this checkpoint. However, Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov said on Facebook on Wednesday the Russian humanitarian convoy would not be admitted to the Kharkiv Region.
“The Russian customs service has not received any official notification of Shebekino-Pletenevka closing or any documents confirming Ukraine refused to accept the humanitarian cargo,” said Yekaterina Anchiporova.
Eyewitnesses said passing the checkpoint was unhampered now.
