Russia's Vice-Premier intends to travel to Tiraspol for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of liberation of Moldova from fascist occupation

MOSCOW, August 11, 4:27 /ITAR-TASS/. Russia's Vice-Premier Dmitry Rogozin, co-chairman of the Russia-Moldova intergovernmental commission (IGC), intends to travel to Tiraspol for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the end og the Yassy-Chisinau operation and liberation of Moldova from fascist occupation.

Rogozin told Izvestia, "I intend to visit Tiraspol on August 24 to attend the celebration. However, I realise that it will be difficult to get there, for I expect that I shall soon be included in Ukraine's sanctions list. It is impossible to fly there across Ukraine, for the plane may be forced to land. To make a detour via Bulgaria and Romania is no easy either. However, I shall figure it out in some way".

"I received a proposal from the (other) co-chairman of the Russia-Moldova IGC to meet and discuss trade relations in the light of (Western) sanctions," explained Vice-Premier Rogozin, who is also a special representative of Russia's President for Transdniestria.
