MOSCOW, August 05. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia will respond to Polish cancellation of cross-cultural year by intensifying contacts with Polish artists, Russian Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky said on Tuesday.

“Nothing can be worse than mixing politics and culture. When the decision is approved by the Polish government, we’ll give an asymmetric answer,” he said. “We are not going to block contacts with Polish artists and will intensify them unilaterally. If our artists want to go to Poland, we’ll help them.”

The Ministry was disappointed about the decision, Medinsky said adding Russia would certainly hold Polish film festival.
