Normal relations with Russia a priority — Georgia FM

Georgia Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said the country “will continue the gradual normalization of relationship with Russia”

TBILISI, August 04. /ITAR-TASS/. Normalization of relations with Russia is one of the top priorities in Georgian foreign policy, the country’s Foreign Minister Maia Pandjikidze said on Monday.

Georgia “has made concrete steps to de-escalate and gradually normalize relations with Russia” over the last 1.5 years, she told the meeting of Georgian diplomats. “A pragmatic approach to normalization has yielded certain positive results in recovery and development of trade and economic cooperation, cultural and humanitarian ties,” Panjikidze added.
