Poroshenko: Ukraine not to give up on Crimea
“Crimea is not for sale,” Ukrainian President said
KIEV, August 01. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine will not give up on Crimea and will use all means to defend its national interests, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said in an interview with Ukrainian television channels on Friday.
“Crimea is not for sale,” Poroshenko said, adding Ukraine would never give up on Crimea for money.
The Ukrainian president said that Ukrainian enterprises which had lost their property and suffered financial losses in Crimea had the right to file an international lawsuit against Russia.
The state-run joint-stock society Chernomorneftegaz which extracts oil and gas on the Black Sea shelf is one of them.
Poroshenko told Ukrainian journalists that Ukraine’s Justice Ministry was preparing a package of documents for the international lawsuit.
“Ukraine will use all means to defend its national interests,” Poroshenko stressed.
