Wednesday alone, more than 90 people died in Gaza because of Israeli strikes

CAIRO, July 30. /ITAR-TASS/. At least 17 Palestinians died in the Gaza Strip Wednesday as a result of Israeli troops’ strikes at a refugee camp.

Reports said bombing raids were targeted at Al-Shujaiya, a district to the east of the City of Gaza.

At first artillery shelled a marketplace located there and one shell hit a filling station, setting ablaze a fuel tank there. Later on, when the residents of the district who were trying to evacuate to safer places had gathered nearby, the Israeli Air Force delivered a strike.

The list of the dead carries the name of a camera operator who had been working for a local news portal. More than 150 Palestinians received wounds.

Wednesday alone, more than 90 people died in Gaza because of Israeli strikes. The total number of Palestinians who have lost their lives since the start of the Israeli operation on July 8 has exceeded 1,300. More than 7,000 people have been wounded.

Although Israel declared a unilateral 4-hours-long truce Wednesday, the strikes showed no sign of stopping.

Palestinian media said about 30 people died in the enclave.
