BERLIN, July 30. /ITAR-TASS/. The European Union sectoral sanctions against Russia will “show a very quick effect”, German Economics Minister said on Wednesday.
The sanctions would soon prove effective as the people affected do not want their freedom of movement and investment opportunities in Europe to be restricted, said Sigmar Gabriel.
The sanctions are “urgently necessary”, though Europe is ware that it “may suffer from them economically...that foreign trade with Russia isn't excessively large although it has significance. However, Gabriel added, “we should not allow war and civil war to expand on this continent out of fear of economic consequences”.
