TEL AVIV, July 29. /ITAR-TASS/. No less than 100 Palestinians died on Tuesday from Israeli fire at the Gaza Strip, said Palestinian news agency Maan with a reference to healthcare ministry.

Doctors earlier reported 57 fatalities since Tuesday midnight but news soon came from the enclave’s north and south. According to the latest reports, 22 days of Protective Edge operation (Solid Rock, or Mighty Cliff in Hebrew) claimed lives of more than 1,200 Palestinians. About 7,000 were injured.

The operation has destroyed about 5,000 buildings since July 8, the first day of the operation. A total of 215,000, almost 10% of the enclave’s population were forced out of their homes, Maan reported.

Since the border with Egypt is closed and the sector has been under Israeli blockade for almost eight years, forced migrants come to the already overcrowded UN schools and branches in the Gaza Strip.
