Palestinian death toll in Gaza reaches 846; 37 Israelis die since military operation

Israeli Air Force, Navy, artillery forces and ground army units have hit about 2,500 HAMAS military objectives in Gaza Strip

TEL AVIV, July 25. /ITAR-TASS/. Israel’s military operation against HAMAS militants in Gaza Strip is taking its toll on civilians: 846 Palestinians and 37 Israelis were killed after 18 days of the Israeli-HAMAS fighting.

Palestinian medical sources reported on Friday that Israeli attacks coming from air, sea and on the ground had claimed 41 Palestinian lives in Gaza Strip since dawn.

The death toll from Israeli air strikes at HAMAS objectives in Gaza has reached 838 since July 8 when Israel launched its Protective Edge operation. About 5,000 Palestinians have been wounded. Six Palestinians have died and dozens have been injured in anti-war clashes with Israeli soldiers in the West Bank of Jordan over the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the Army of Defense for Israel, commonly known by the Hebrew acronym Tsahal, has officially recognized as dead a private of the elite Golani Brigade who has been missing since Sunday. The number of Israel’s military casualties in the operation in the Palestinian enclave has reached 34. According to the Jewish state’s medical services, about 500 Israelis have been injured in Gaza since the military operation started 18 days ago.

Israeli Air Force, Navy, artillery forces and ground army units have hit about 2,500 HAMAS military objectives in Gaza Strip, including missile launchers, command posts and arms depots since the military campaign started, the Army of Defense for Israel reported.

Israeli soldiers have discovered and destroyed 31 HAMAS-dug tunnels which have sleeves running to the territory of Israel under the fences.

According to Israeli army, the HAMAS militants have fired 2,400 missiles against Israeli cities since the start of the Israeli-Palestinian confrontation.
