Ukraine bans four Russian TV channels

KIEV, July 25. /ITAR-TASS/. The broadcasting of four Russian TV channels was banned in Ukraine, the Ukrainian national TV and radio council said on Friday.
The council ordered Ukrainian providers to shut off the broadcasting of the RTR-Planeta, NTV Mir, Rossiya 24 and TV Center International channels explaining that the contents of their programs do not meet the requirements of the European Convention on Transfrontier Television and Ukraine’s national law on TV and radio broadcasting.
