MOSCOW, July 25. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin praises the UN efforts for ensuring safety of experts on the site of Malayasia Airlines Boeing 777 crash.
Karasin met United Kingdom Ambassador to Russia Tim Barrow on Friday over the unrest in Ukraine.
Russia stressed the need to make the investigation of the Boeing 777 crash impartial and transparent, he said.
“Russia’s position on de-escalation in Ukraine remains unchanged: there is no alternative to resolving the crisis by peaceful and diplomatic means. We favour a direct dialogue between the Ukrainian authorities and the southeast,” Karasin said.
Karasin expressed condolences to Barrow on the death of British citizens.
The high-ranking diplomats of both countries agreed that it was necessary to comply with the ceasefire agreements, including the Berlin Declaration of July 2.
