Luhansk hopes for direct Russian gas supplies in coming heating season
Earlier, LPR head Valery Bolotonov issued an order to create a state fuel company
LUHANSK, July 24. /ITAR-TASS/. Self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic leaders hope for direct gas supplies from Russia in the coming heating season, premier Marat Bashirov said on Thursday.
“Now we’re discussing gas volumes,” he said at a government session.
Government members also considered the solution of humanitarian problems, primarily supplies of lubricants for communal utilities and state services, as well as for diesel generators in hospitals, Bashirov said.
“At least 40 tonnes of fuel will be supplied soon. We’ll think about their distribution,” he said, adding that fuel was designed to be used by civil facilities, repair brigades and medics.
Earlier, LPR head Valery Bolotonov issued an order to create a state fuel company.
Experts say the Luhansk region consumes about 17 million cubic metres of gas every 24 hours.
