Kiev has no information about lost RT TV stringer
Graham Phillips has been reporting about the developments in Ukraine in recent months
MOSCOW, July 24. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine’s authorities have no information so far about the whereabouts of Graham Phillips, a British national who is freelancing for the Russian RT channel in Ukraine, the spokesman for the National Security and Defence, Andrey Lysenko, said on Thursday.
Phillips’s colleague said that on Tuesday night a group of four reporters decided to head for Donetsk’s airport. Phillips and a reporter from the Anna News independent news portal went towards the airport buildings while the other two were waiting for them at some distance. Soon the Anna-News man phoned saying that he and Phillips had been detained.
In May Graham Phillips was detained in the south-eastern Ukrainian city of Mariupol by the country's National Guard. Only 35 hours later, the Briton was set free thanks to international mass media that circulated the news about his disappearance.
