UK implements weapon supply contracts with Russia — ministry

LONDON, July 23. /ITAR-TASS/. Britain continues military supplies to Russia under the existing contracts, including missile components, said the UK Department of Trade spokesperson.

Supplies to Russia were carried out under 250 licences issued by the UK government, he told ITAR-TASS.

According to the spokesperson, last year British export to Russia totaled $225 million twice as much as in 2012. In particular, Britain supplies Russia with missile components, combat aircraft and electronics for tracking and guidance systems.

Last spring, the British government suspended 34 export licences.
