Boeing to provide needed technical assistance in MH17 crash probe
The aircraft producer said this in a statement on Wednesday
SINGAPORE, July 23. /ITAR-TASS/. The Boeing company will provide required technical assistance in the investigation of causes of the Malaysia Airlines passenger plane crash. The aircraft producer said this in a statement on Wednesday.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with those on board the Malaysia Airlines airplane lost over Ukrainian airspace, as well as their families and loved ones. Boeing stands ready to provide whatever assistance is requested by authorities,” the statement says.
The Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 airliner (flight MH17) en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed in the area of combat operations between local militias and Ukrainian governmental troops in east Ukraine’s Donetsk region on July 17. All 298 people aboard the plane, including 193 Dutch and 10 Brits, died in the crash.
For Malaysia Airlines it has been a second major incident with Boeing planes. On March 8, a passenger airliner that was flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, disappeared over the Indian Ocean. The plane carried 239 people. The causes of the incident are still unknown.
