More than 20,000 people in three districts had electricity cut off

LUHANSK, July 22. /ITAR-TASS/. Over the last 24 hours, military confrontation in southeastern Ukraine’s Luhansk killed five civilians, injured sixteen, damaged 22 houses and infrastructure facilities, said Luhansk city council press office.

Buildings were shelled in four districts. More than 20,000 people in three districts had electricity cut off, whereas more than 7,000 in three districts were without water and gas supplies.

The city council was now collecting information to estimate the damage to the city’s economy, the press office added.

As of 11:00 a.m. Moscow time, air alert was announced in Luhansk; military actions were resumed in the outskirts.
