MADRID, July 21. /ITAR-TASS/. The investigation of a Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 plane crash should be conducted by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), Spain’s Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

“Such investigation can allow us to name guilty persons, who should face trial,” Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo said.

The investigation is underway. Till now it is necessary to avoid accusations against anyone, he said.

Earlier the Spanish government asked Russia to contribute to investigating the tragedy.

Russian President Vladimir Putin urged the warring parties in Ukraine to create conditions for investigating the Boeing 777 plane crash.

Experts should work under the ICAO aegis. An international commission was set up. “It is necessary to do everything possible to ensure security of experts and provide humanitarian corridors,” Putin said.

Russia will do its best to resolve the conflict in Ukraine by peaceful and diplomatic means, he said.

Malaysia Airlines Boeing-777 passenger plane crashed in Ukraine 60 km from the Russian border on July 17. The airliner carried 298 passengers, including 15 crewmembers. The plane was en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.
