KUALA-LUMPUR, July 20, /ITAR-TASS/. The flight number of a Malaysia Airlines Boeing-777 passenger airliner which crashed in Ukraine on July 17 will not be used any longer.
This step which should honour the memory of passengers and crew who died in the air crash will take effect starting from July 25, the Malaysia Airlines press service reported on Sunday. Now all flights from the Dutch city of Amsterdam to the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur will be assigned number MH-19.
This measure will not affect daily air traffic, the airline’s press service said. Being on this ill-fortune flight a total 298 people died in the Boeing-777 crash in east Ukraine’s Donetsk region on Thursday.
