Kiev authorities agree with militia to evacuate Boeing crash casualties
As many as 192 people have been found dead at the air crash site by the evening on July 19
KIEV, July 20, /ITAR-TASS/. Representatives of Kiev authorities and militia in the southeast of the country agreed to start evacuation of the bodies of those people who died in the crash of the Malaysian airliner Boeing-777, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman who heads the state committee investigating the air crash said on Sunday.
“We have reached a preliminary agreement with those who are controlling the airplane’s crash area to evacuate the bodies of casualties,” the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of regional development, construction and housing and utilities sector quoted Groisman as saying. The bodies of casualties will be taken to the place of forensic expertise in refrigerated railroad cars, Groisman added.
As many as 192 people have been found dead at the air crash site by the evening on July 19, Groisman said. The Ukrainian state emergency situation service has earlier stated about 186 people found dead at the airplane’s crash site.
Government of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic stated that they had guaranteed security of international experts at the tragedy place. Meanwhile, Donetsk republican authorities urged Kiev to conclude an agreement on a ceasefire and provide conditions for the work of specialists at the airplane’s crash site.
Malaysia Airlines Boeing-777 passenger airliner on the flight from the Dutch city of Amsterdam to the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur crashed in the area of hostilities between local militias and Ukrainian governmental troops in east Ukraine’s Donetsk region on Thursday, July 17. All 298 people aboard the airliner died in the air crash.
