MOSCOW, July 18. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine has not reacted to Russia’s proposal to provide assistance to coping with the consequences of the crash of Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777, Russia’s Emergencies Deputy Minister Vladimir Artamonov has said.

“We’d not like to comment on the crash for objective reasons because the investigation is underway,” Artamonov told ITAR-TASS on Friday.

“We offered assistance to our partners in Ukraine due to the existing experience. There is no reaction from Ukraine,” he said.

The investigation has started. The identification procedure is underway. International organisations are involved in investigating the tragedy, Artamonov said.

Malaysia Airlines Boeing-777 passenger plane crashed in Ukraine 60 km from the Russian border on July 17. The airliner carried 298 passengers, including 15 crewmembers. The plane was en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.

Russian President Vladimir Putin extended his condolences to Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak over the crash of the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 in Ukraine.

Russia’s State Duma, lower house, Speaker Sergei Naryshkin blamed Ukraine for allowing a civil aircraft to use airspace over the war-torn eastern area.

“This fact can be considered criminal negligence. I don’t want to think about a premeditated act,” he said.
