Brazil president urges to be cautious in commenting Malaysian jet crash in Ukraine
On Thursday, a Malaysia Airlines Boeing with 298 people onboard crashed in eastern Ukraine
RIO DE JANEIRO, July 18. /ITAR-TASS/. Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff urged to be careful in commenting the circumstances of the crash of a Malaysian passenger jet in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region, since so far there is no verified information.
“First, it should be established what really happened,” she said. “The Brazilian government will give no assessments until the circumstances are clear.” The issue, in her words, is too serious and needs to be tackled cautiously.
A Boeing-777 of the Malaysian Airlines that was en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur disappeared from the radars and crashed on Thursday evening near the settlement of Grabovo in Ukraine’s Donetsk region. All those onboard the plane - 283 passengers, and 15 crew members - died. According to preliminary data, passengers included citizens of the Netherlands, the United States, Great Britain, France, and Malaysia.
