Political, administrative pressure on largest European banks is of destructive nature, the ministry added.
Russian Foreign Ministry disappointed with European Council’s decision to push for halting the financing of new projects by EBRD and EIB in Russia.
Political and administrative pressure on the largest European banks is of destructive nature, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
“We are disappointed by the decision of the European Council to seek suspension of financing of new projects by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and European Investment Bank in Russia,” the ministry said.
“Such actions by our Western partners, who in this way render political nd administrative pressure on the largest European credit organizations are of destructive nature and contradict the fundamental principles of these institutions,” it said.
