BRUSSELS, July 16. /ITAR-TASS/. EU summit will consider new sanctions against Russia as no de-escalation of tensions is visible, Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel said Wednesday upon arrival in Brussels where the summit is due to convene.

 

“The progress in de-escalation of the conflict is insufficient, and the (European) Council will consider further sanctions,” the German chancellor stated.
