FARNBOROUGH, July 16. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian 4th and 5th generation fighters will be worthy competitors for the cutting-edge American fighter F-35 Lightning II, President of the Russian United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) Mikhail Pogosyan told journalists at the international airshow in Farnborough.

“Our modifications of the 4th generation aircraft and the 5th generation fighter can effectively compete with the US models,” he said. “For example, Su-35 is one promising rival, and I believe that in our work we should not copy US aviation products.”

The corporation did not produce single-engine combat aircraft focusing not on the quantity, but on quality and prices, he added.
