KIEV, July 14. /ITAR-TASS/. Former Mayor of east Ukraine’s city of Sloviansk Nelli Shtepa was arrested for two months on suspicion of encroachment on territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, press service of Ukraine’s north-eastern Kharkiv region reported on Monday.

A criminal case was opened against the former Sloviansk mayor “over encroachment on territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine that the state official committed entailing heavy consequences.”

On July 11, Ukrainian Interior Ministry has detained Shtepa dismissed by the decision taken by a transitional local self-government body.

“At present, she is being convoyed to the Kharkiv department of the Security Service of Ukraine for procedural actions,” the report said.
