MOSCOW, July 14. /ITAR-TASS/. Journalist of Russia's state TV broadcaster Rossiya 1 Yevgeny Rozhkov was not permitted to enter Ukraine, the website of the television channel said on Monday.
According to Rozhkov, the only explanation which he managed to receive from border guards is that “you are denied to enter Ukraine.”
“At first a rank-and-file border guard promised that an officer would come, but no officer had come for two hours,” the television channel said, noting that “The journalist had all required documents, including a return ticket.”
When Rozhkov said that he was a Rossiya 1 TV correspondent he was invited to undergo an interrogation.
After detailed identity check he was informed that he was denied entry in the country.
