MOSCOW, July 14. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin says the Russian delegation should leave the Farnborough Airshow due to the problems with obtaining visas for most delegates.

“I recommend our delegation to curb its participation and to return home,” Rogozin wrote on his Twitter microblog.

The Farnborough International Airshow opens on Monday without the participation of most Russian representatives. Government of the United Kingdom has refused to issue visas due to disputes with Moscow on the crisis in Ukraine.

Visas were also denied to top managers of Russian companies, undermining possible negotiations and contracts.

The Russian side has paid for the exhibition space for the equipment that had been already delivered to Farnborough. This year, the local media reported, Russia planned to present fewer samples of military equipment focusing on civil aviation and space.

Press secretary of the Russian Embassy in the United Kingdom Alexei Dobrinsky told ITAR-TASS that the Russian delegation was supposed to feature representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Roscosmos, Rosaviatsiya, Rostechnologii, Rosoboronexport, of corporations Irkut, MiG, Oboronprom, Helicopters of Russia and Sukhoi, of the United Aircraft Corporation, United Engine Corporation and the Urals Optics-Mechanics Plant.

The exhibition will close on July 20. For the first five days, it will be open for professionals only, and the public will attend the show on the last two days.
