RIVNE, July 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine’s Security Service will reinforce security at the Rivne nuclear power plant due to possible sabotage, the Ukrainian media report first deputy head of the Security Service’s division in the region, Yuri Petrunyak, as saying.

The official said the nuclear power plant was very close to the border between Ukraine and Belarus.

“The border with Belarus remains open, and sabotage groups may get in,” he said.

He added it would be necessary to reinforce security of strategic bridges in the region. The Security Service’s division had addressed the concern to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.

Guard of the Rivne nuclear power plant and the bridges will be carried out by the Goryn battalion of local self-defense forces.
