Gaza Strip delivers air strike on Israel
In the recent 48 hours, Palestinian radicals have been attacking cities mostly in the south of Israel
TEL AVIV, July 09. /ITAR-TASS/. Air-raid warning sounded on Wednesday morning in Tel Aviv. After that, series of loud explosions were heard in the sky over the city. As the Israeli media reported, air defense system "Iron Dome" has intercepted five missiles from Gaza over Tel Aviv and nearby BenGurion international airport.
Three more rockets exploded on the territory of the district councils Eshkol and Shaar Hanegev near Gaza. Several cars have been damaged.
New air strikes from Israel
On Tuesday, the Israeli army delivered strikes on the command center of the terrorists and another 40 targets in the Gaza Strip.
“Several minutes ago the Israeli army has delivered strikes on the terrorists’ command center hidden in civil facilities, as well as on another 40 centers of terrorist activity in the Gaza Strip,” the statement says.
Palestinian media reported that as a result of a localized air strike of the Israeli army, three Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip. A helicopter of the Israeli armed forces reportedly delivered a missile strike on a car in the central part of the Gaza Strip.
Attacks on Israeli cities
In the recent 48 hours, Palestinian radicals were attacking cities mostly in the south of Israel — Ashdod (22.6 km from the border with Gaza Strip), Beersheba (25.4 km from the border), both with up to 200 thousand residents, Ashkelon with 100 thousand residents (12.5 km from the border), as well as small towns and localities situated near the Palestinian enclave. There are nearly 85 km from the Gaza Strip to Tel Aviv downtown.
