Armed standoff causes $100 million damage to Luhansk region — administration

Considering the fact that the armed standoff in the region continues, the damage sum is increasing every day

LUHANSK, July 03. /ITAR-TASS/. The armed standoff in the east of Ukraine has caused damage to the Luhansk region worth more than 1.3 billion hryvnias (more than 100 million), the press service of the Luhansk regional administration reported.

“A special list of facilities that were damaged (destroyed) in the Luhansk region as a result of an armed conflict and that require restoration has been created. There are already more than 100 of them today. The funds needed to restore their operation have been calculated,” the report says.

Thus, restoration of medical facilities will require 2.3 million hryvnias, social protection facilities - some 7 million hryvnias. The largest funds are needed for the restoration of infrastructure facilities - 1.3 billion hryvnias (including gas supply facilities - 606,000 hryvnias). At least 10 million hryvnias are needed to restore operation of a number of other facilities, and the total damage is estimated at 1.3 billion hryvnias.

Considering the fact that the armed standoff in the region continues, the damage sum is increasing every day.
