Leader of self-proclaimed East-Ukrainian republics on buildup of their financial system
Oleg Tsaryov stressed the importance of building up an independent fiscal system of the union state
DONETSK, June 26. /ITAR-TASS/. Oleg Tsaryov, the leader of the South-East public movement who was elected speaker of the legislature of the Union of People’s Republics (the union state of self-proclaimed unrecognized Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics. — ITAR-TASS) believes that the priority task today is “to establish the union government as soon as possible”.
“Task number one is to establish the union government and to straighten out the economy and the financial system because the taxes continue flowing to Kiev, which is on the brink of bankruptcy and will unlikely be able to finance the pension plan,” Tsaryov told ITAR-TASS.
He stressed the importance of building up an independent fiscal system of the union state.
“Quite naturally, we need coordination in the sphere of defense, too, because we get stronger when we are together, which means we’ll be capable of anything in this case,” Tsaryov said.
The Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics have an equal number of representatives in the legislature of the union state — thirty members each.
