German foreign minister will meet Ukrainian president June 24 over peace plan

LUXEMBOURG, June 23. /ITAR-TASS/. Germany’s Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier will leave for Ukraine on Tuesday, June 24, for talks with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

The talks will focus on a peace plan, unveiled by Poroshenko on June 20, Steinmeier has said.

He supported the Ukrainian president’s peace plan and favoured its implementation as soon as possible.

“On Tuesday I’ll be in Ukraine. I’ll a chance to talk with President Poroshenko,” Steinmeier said on Monday.

According to ITAR-TASS reports, Steinmeier will depart to Ukraine on Monday evening. On Tuesday, he seeks to return to Brussels for the NATO ministerial meeting.
