KIEV, June 20. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will soon sign a decree on a temporary ceasefire, the presidential press service reported Friday.
According to the report, Poroshenko arrived at the camp of the National Guard Antiterrorism Center where he made the statement.
“This is done for terrorists to be able to lay down arms, and those who fail to do so will be eliminated,” the statement said.
Ukrainian parliament-appointed Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Secretary Andriy Parubiy and National Guard commander Stepan Poltorak are there as well.
Kiev is conducting what it calls an “antiterrorism operation” in Ukraine’s Southeast against federalization supporters whom it calls “terrorists”.
