Iran, P5+1 coordinate text of final agreement on Tehran nuclear program — China

VIENNA, June 20. /ITAR-TASS/. Iran and the P5+1 have coordinated the text of final agreement on Tehran’s nuclear programme, China’s chief negotiator said.

“I confirm that the parties seek to work in a constructive atmosphere. We’re ready to continue a fruitful dialogue,” Wang Qun said.

Answering an ITAR-TASS question how long the talks are held, the Chinese chief negotiator said, “This has not been specified yet.”

“We’d like to complete the work by July 20,” he said.

Wang Qun said Iran and the P5+1 had coordinated the text of final agreement on Tehran’s nuclear program. “I believe that this can be considered progress,” the director-general of the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s arms control and disarmament department.”

The P5+1 is a group of countries which in 2006 joined the diplomatic efforts with Iran in regard to its nuclear program. The term refers to the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany, namely the United States, Russia, China, United Kingdom, France, and Germany.
