Ukrainian government is ready to introduce state of emergency in the energy sector
KIEV, June 18. /ITAR-TASS/. The Ukrainian government has approved and handed over to parliament a package of draft laws designed to impose the state of emergency in the energy sector and attract European and American investors to modernization and joint operation of the gas transportation system, Ostap Semerak, a minister in Ukraine’s cabinet of ministers, told journalists on Wednesday.
The documents were drafted following an order by Ukraine’s interim Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
“The cabinet of ministers has approved the bills. They have been registered in parliament and are being considered by parliament’s special committee. We hope that they will be submitted to parliament (or Verkhovnaya Rada) for consideration this week,” Semerak said.
