MOSCOW, June 17./ITAR-TASS/. A correspondent of Russia’s radio and television broadcasting company VGTRK Igor Kornelyuk, has been injured during a shelling on the suburbs of Luhansk, the broadcaster’s press-service has told ITAR-TASS.
“We confirm that he was injured, but it remains unclear how serious the injury is,” the company’s spokesman has said.
VGTRK reported that the journalist had been taken to a local hospital.
Fighting near regional center Luhansk has been continuing since Monday night. Reports said militia had stopped a column of armored vehicles moving towards the city.
