Meanwhile, the press service of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) has not confirmed these reports
DONETSK, June 16. /ITAR-TASS/. Representatives of people’s militia in the town of Horlivka, eastern Ukrainian Donetsk region, said on Monday that two drones of the Ukrainian army were shot down late on Sunday.
They added the drones were not found as of yet. “The number of drones in the airspace of Horlivka has grown several times of late. They want to learn more about us,” a militiaman said, adding that small arms and anti-aircraft missiles had been used to bring down the drones.
Meanwhile, the press service of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) has not confirmed these reports.
Self-defense units in Horlivka also managed to shoot down a Sukhoi-24 frontline bomber of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Saturday. “Two Su-24 planes attacked the building of the Horlivka Internal Affairs Directorate with cluster bombs. One of the planes was downed by a man-portable air defense system,” a spokesperson for the DPR told ITAR-TASS on Saturday.
