Three armored vehicles and five buses with Ukrainian soldiers had arrived to the site, the source notes

SLOVIANSK, June 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Fighting between people’s militia and Ukrainian law enforcers continued overnight to Wednesday at the settlement of Nikolayevka, Ukraine’s Donetsk region, a source from people’s militia told ITAR-TASS on Wednesday.

The source said three armored vehicles and five buses with Ukrainian soldiers had arrived to the site, but did not specify the strength of self-defence units in that area.

Meanwhile, shellfire has triggered “panic among the local population” in Sloviansk, located 40 kilometers north of Artyomovsk, according to the source. The city faces shortage of food and medicines. There were not enough medicines and medical personnel in hospitals, the source said, noting that the first-aid station was not operating promptly because of personnel shortage.

Only five of 11 ambulances were serviceable, as the other vehicles had been damaged by bullets and shells, he said. On Tuesday, a report was posted on the website of the Donetsk region administration, saying Sloviansk had problems with gasoline to fuel ambulance cars.
